The development of social competencies in higher education in Poland. System requirements, and studies‘ practice<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Polish law requires to design curriculum in the language of learning outcomes in 3 pillars: (I) knowledge, (II) skills and (III) social competences. Learning outcomes (LOs) must refer to the Polish Qualification Framework, and for HE there is a ministerial list of its descriptors. On the other hand, Higher Education Institutions have programme’s autonomy and are responsible for LOs‘ validation. This results in very different approaches to social competences (from selecting ones relevant for the particular field of studies, to assessment methods). <\/p>\n

Social Competences in the UK Higher Education. A Chaotic and Contested Space: findings from the UK team of the DASCHE project<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

In this talk we will explore the UK findings from the DASCHE project which explored the Development, Assessment and Validation of Social Competences in European Higher Education. The UK picture is complex with regionally devolved systems of higher education that on the one hand adhere to European assessment frameworks but on the other do so in a very flexible and autonomous way. Whilst programme descriptors and learning outcomes are aligned to the EQF there is not a uniform set of programme descriptors and learning outcomes that is adopted by all, for example, programmes of biology or sociology. This resulted in a lack of transparency and clarity in relation to the role and position of social competence within the Higher Education assessment framework and a lack of conformity about what was even meant by the term social competence itself. Some people argued for social competence as a concept that related to ideas of social and public good whilst others constructed it as a skill set. Such categorisations resulted in contestations and confusions about how to deal with social competence within the curriculum and assessment frameworks. The construction of social competence as relating to public or social good, i.e. in value terms, made it difficult for academics to then see it as something that could easily be assessed as part of an academic programme of study. For those teaching professional courses such as nursing, business or even initial teacher education, it became entangled in definitions of professional competencies that needed to be demonstrated. Whilst for others there was an attempt to distil it into a set of skills that were measurable in some way. This re-characterisation of social competence as a set of discrete skills, frequently associated with communication, team work and interpersonal interactions, often meant that the original conceptualisation of social competence as relating to public or social good became lost or distorted as attempts were made to articulate it in ways that could be formally assessed. In our talk we will explore some of these issues as we share the UK results with you.<\/p>\n

Aktuálně potřebné sociální kompetence studentů a absolventů na příkladu ekonomické VŠ<\/strong><\/p>\n

Schopnost využívat adekvátní sociální kompetence je pro absolventy ekonomických i jiných vysokých škol klíčová. Na příkladu studie ekonomické VŠ (VŠEM) budou prezentovány nejdůležitější sociální kompetence podle vnímání studentů a absolventů. Data pro studii byla shromážděna dotazníkovým šetřením absolventů v pětiletém průřezu na reprezentativním vzorku. Jako výsledek studie budou prezentovány faktory sdružující preference současných zaměstnavatelů absolventů týkající se sociálních kompetencí. Oblasti uvedených faktorů jsou základem výuky a tréninku sociálních kompetencí na VŠ pro úspěšné uplatnění v praxi. Diskutovány budou možnosti hodnocení a rozvoje těchto oblastí. Výsledky ukazují současné přístupy k rozvoji sociálních kompetencí a jejich vnímání studenty a absolventy. <\/p>\n

Jak trénujeme sociální kompetence se studenty VŠZ<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Posilování sociálního dialogu je nezbytné v pomáhajících profesích. Na VŠZ
vnímáme sociální kompetence jako základ pro výkon povolání všeobecné sestry, porodní asistentky i zdravotnického záchranáře. Cíle se nám částečně daří naplňovat interaktivními semináři, vyzvanými přednáškami pacientů i špiček z jednotlivých oborů, kde dopad empatie a lidskosti je největší. V poslední době u nás hraje prim simulační výuka, kdy trénujeme situace pomocí role playing games.<\/p>\n
